Jackson Park resonates with many residents of Kumase as an economic space. It is host to various local and small-scale economic ventures such as yam and coconut sellers as well as taxi drivers. While the end-of-year trade fair features prominently in local memories of the park, many day-to-day users experience the Park from the vantage point of the small-scale businesses that exist in and around the Park’s boundaries. We capture these everyday histories through the eyes of Jackson Park’s coconut sellers.
